Bowling for Beginners

New bowling alleys are popping up all the time and, the median age of bowlers is getting younger with every passing day. Lately it is not just the aging and the old that are taking to bowling as we are witness to most bowling alleys being occupied and dominated by a young and youthful crowd, because bowling is becoming a cool and hip sport to indulge in. It is always better to get your basics right before you start to compete, even for fun. Many bowlers never seem to get better at the game, though they might put in the effort.
The first bowling tip for a beginner is to remember that the sport is based on timing and hand-eye coordination, which means you got to choose the right ball that is easy enough for you to handle. The ball should be based on your height and size which means women should choose balls within the range of 8 – 15 pounds and for men, it should be between 14 – 16 pounds. Make sure that you have a ball you are comfortable with. It is not easy to find a ball which fits your fingers perfectly yet need to get a good release. A general tip is to choose the heaviest ball you can swing comfortably because it carries more momentum and might knock down a few more pins.
Probably the most important of the bowling tips for beginners is to have fun. Don’t get frustrated even if you don’t get it right; just go out there and have a good time bowling.
