Mylapore Festival

Every year the Tamil Nadu Tourism and culture organizes the Chennai Sangamam. A colorful fusion of country music and traditional music. This year I went with my family. It was marvelous. I went to the one that was hosted in Nageshwara Rao Park. We saw the tamil folk dance-drama. The speciality of such dances is that they involve story telling in elegant and natural style. I found that very entertaining and informative. This festive is also host to many south Indian delicacies like traditional chettinad items.

Closely following Chennai Sangamam is the Mylapore festival- an exclusive treat to the mylapor-iites. It’s a local event that is getting more and more popular every year. With set of volunteers from the local it hosts everything from food to accessories. Every corner of the Pitchupillai Street has an event for everyone. From engraving tattoos on your arms to experiencing hot traditional food one can have no more than a highly entertaining evening. After having a run at every stall we returned home tired but with huge satisfying smiles!

Aging Actors

Is there something called losing one’s charm when they get old? No way. Just look at some of these oldies

Brad Pitt – 43 years old
Matt Damon – 36 years old
Andy Garcia – 51 year old
Don Cheadle – 42 years old
Bernie Mac – 49 years old
Al Pacino – 67 years old, No Way!

They seem to get more and more handsome as the days go.

An aging actor oh so furious I get when I hear these words said about such gorgeous men!!

Loads of time

Yeah now that my current project main delivery is over I seem to have a lot of time at hand. Am also glad that am one project old. It has a sense of fulfillment and purpose attached to it. Am planning to catch up on movies. I have never been a movie fanatic. Actually I have missed out on many super hit movies. My friend has given me a list of top busters so am planning to have a movies bash till my interests runs over. Am also planning to meet up with some of my school friends. I haven’t seen them since I went to Pune. It’s been long time since I had this much time in hand. With another project starting in a week I am going to make full use of the present.

Staying Healthy

This past one week I have been getting early – I mean real early and drinking gallons of water. One of my mother’s friends told me that drinking water (approx 1.5 l/per day) makes one very active and that eliminates all the unwanted fatty acids that gets accumulated when we have oily stuff. It was not possible to have 1.5l at one go the very first time, so I started with half litre a day. Was not easy but got used to it in 2 or 3 days time. Then I gradually increased the quantity. After ten days its still tough but I feel lot more healthy. The only catch in this is getting up early.

Nouveau experience

End of another hectic week.I have been put into a new project. Joining a software company sure has its merits. Team playing in words is very easy. When you are actually part of it , it could be trying at times. You simply cannot say no for some things, how much ever you find it unfair. For me this experience is very new. I don't just learn software. I learn lot more -about people and the rest. Experience being a communication officer has taught me to enjoy my present work, which i do. I thought i would never enjoy it. Not a good start when you join a company. But things have changed now. I like it. And I don't mind sitting for hours. Lets see what the future holds. For now am going to enjoy my week end.
